Vimeo OTT currently collects and remits tax/VAT/GST/JCT/DST from certain locations. If your customer is located in one of the countries or US states listed below, we will collect tax from their purchase.

Canada
In Canada, indirect taxes are imposed at the federal level and provincial levels. In addition to the Goods and Service Tax (“GST”) imposed at the federal level, many provinces in Canada impose a separate Provincial Sales Tax (“PST”), including Quebec Sales Tax (“QST”) in Quebec. Furthermore, there are some provinces that combine their PST with the federal GST to levy a combined tax called Harmonized Sales Tax (“HST”).
As of December 1st, 2021, Vimeo will collect and remit GST/HST made by non-resident suppliers to customers in Canada. The table below details the tax types and rates for each province. We recommend setting your product prices with the expectation that taxes are included in your price.
If you are located in Canada, you will be responsible for filing and remitting GST/HST on purchases made by customers in Canada. If you are located outside Canada, Vimeo will remit GST/HST on purchases made by customers in Canada.

**As of February 1st, 2022 Vimeo will remit PST where the services are consumed by customers in Saskatchewan for all sellers, including sellers located in Canada.

****As of October 1st, 2022 Vimeo will remit RST where the services are consumed by customers in Manitoba for all sellers, including sellers located in Canada.
